The sum is  S = a + b + c + . . . + q    (let say, n addends)


The average is  A = %28a+%2B+b+%2B+c+%2B+ellipsis+%2B+q%29%2Fn.



If to divide  the sum S by the average A, you will get the number of addends "n".


    (as an accurate person, I will assume that the sum is not zero, so the division is possible)



ANSWER.  Option D in your list.
