Notice that the equation +y+-+6+=+2%28x+%2B+4%29 is in point-slope form. Remember, the general equation of a line in point slope form is y-y%5B1%5D=m%28x-x%5B1%5D%29 where m is the slope. From +y+-+6+=+2%28x+%2B+4%29, we can see that m=2. So the slope is 2.
