Question 1183669: If P={1,2,3,4}, write down all the subsets of P which have exactly two elements
Answer by ikleyn(52805) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! .
Start from these subsets (1,2), (1,3), . . . and then continue on your own.
Remember that in each pair the elements must be different.
Also remember that the pairs like (2,3) and (3,2), which differ by the order only, represent the SAME subset.
The total number of such subsets is = 2*3 = 6,
so you should be able to complete this job on your own.
