You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the equation of the line that:
passes through the origin (0,0) and
the point (-1,14)
first find a slope m
m=%2814-0%29%2F%28-1-0%29=-14

use point slope formula for a line

y-y%5B1%5D=m%28x-x%5B1%5D%29.......substitute m=-14 and (0,0)

y-0=-14%28x-0%29
y=-14x-> your equation

the equation of the line that is perpendicular to this line:
the line that is perpendicular to this line will have a slope negative reciprocal to m=-14 and it is
m=-%281%2F-14%29
m=1%2F14%29
use
y-y%5B1%5D=m%28x-x%5B1%5D%29.......substitute m=1%2F14 and (0,0)
y-0=%281%2F14%29%28x-0%29
y=%281%2F14%29x->the equation of the line that is perpendicular to y=-14x-
