You can put this solution on YOUR website!

given:
Diana and James were selling tickets for their upcoming softball game.
James sold 20%=0.20 more than Diana.
if Diana sold x tickets, than James sold x%2B0.20x tickets
If they sold 55 tickets total, then
x%2Bx%2B0.20x=55
2.20x=55
x=55%2F2.20
x=25
so, Diana sold 25 tickets
and James sold x%2B0.20x=25%2B0.20%2A25=25%2B5=30 tickets

Let number that Diana sold be D
Then James sold 1.2D
With both selling 55, we get: D + 1.2D = 55
2.2D = 55
Number Diana sold, or highlight_green%28matrix%281%2C5%2C+D%2C+%22=%22%2C+55%2F2.2%2C%22=%22%2C+25%29%29
