(1) Use parentheses where needed, so we know what the equation is. It's probably not what you show:

cos(x) tan(x)/sin(x)+cos(x) = tan(x)/1+tan(x) = cos%28x%29+tan%28x%29%2Fsin%28x%29%2Bcos%28x%29+=+tan%28x%29%2F1%2Btan%28x%29
