You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
A jogger jogs from one end to the other of a straight track and 2.50 minutes and then back to the straight point
in 3.20 minutes what is the joggers average speed
(a) in jogging to the far end of the track
(b) coming back to the starting point
(c) for the total jog

The post  (and personally  YOU,  who posted it),  missed to provide the length of the track.

Without it, the questions CAN NOT BE ANSWERED.

Comment from student : No that is how it is written out , I'm sure that is why I couldn't figure it out.
I emailed my teacher he said just use a quarter mile.

My response : It changes the situation.

Then the answers are

(a) 0.25%2F2.5 = 0.1 miles per minute = 6 miles per hour.

(b) 0.25%2F3.2 = 0.078125 miles per minute = 4.6875 miles per hour.

(c) %280.25+%2B+0.25%29%2F%282.5%2B3.2%29 = 0.0877193 miles per minute = 5.263158 miles per hour.

With these ugly numbers, round the answers in any way as you want.

Solved.

The real lesson to learn from these calcs is that
the average speed is the total distance divided by the total time.
