You can put this solution on YOUR website!

737%2F11%22%22=%22%22X%2F5

Cross-multiply:

11X%22%22=%22%22737%2A5

11X%22%22=%22%223685

X%22%22=%22%223685%2F11

X%22%22=%22%22335

Answer: She would drive 335 miles in 5 hours.

If you just know proportions, you may solve the problem, as Ewind does in his post.

But you can solve it even if you don't know what a proportion is.

For it, you calculate the rate first, using given distance and time

    rate = 737%2F11 = 67 miles per hour

and then find the distance under the problem's question

    distance = 5*67 = 335  miles.    ANSWER
