Question 1181000: Hi,
I'm confused about solving for this trig equation: 3cos(x)+cos^2(x)+2=sin^2(x). I solved it and got three answers (pi, 2pi/3 and 4pi/3), but my answer sheet says 0 is also the answer. I'm not sure how to get 0 from the equation though.
Thanks for your help!

The value of  0  (of zero)  DEFINITELY  is not the answer,  as you can easily check by substituting
this value into the both sides of the given equation.

The answer sheet is  DEFINITELY  wrong in this part.
