The height of an equilateral triangle is 15cm and its base is 36cm find the area of the triangle
In general, the height of an equilateral triangle is equal to sqrt%283%29%2F2 times a side of the equilateral triangle. =>h=%28sqrt%283%29%2F2%29s
The area of an equilateral triangle is equal to

A=%281%2F2+%29%2A+%28%28sqrt%283%29%2F2%29s+%29%2A+s+
A=+%28sqrt%283%29%2As%5E2%29%2F4

given:
h=+15cm
b=+36cm
A=+%28sqrt%283%29%2A36%5E2%29%2F4
A=+2244.737846609265%2F4
A=561.18cm%5E2

There is no such triangle.

An equilateral triangle with base 36cm (i.e., each side length 36cm) does not have a height of 15cm.

The area of a triangle is one-half base times height. So a triangle with base 36cm and height 15cm has an area of (1/2)(36)(15)=270 cm^2.

But it's not an equilateral triangle....

Having two so different answers from two tutors may  PERPLEX  you.

The rede is simple:  the answer by @greenestamps is  CORRECT;  the answer from  @MathLover1  is  WRONG,
or,  better to say,  is  IRRELEVANT  and  WRONG  at the same time.

Such a triangle as described in the post  DOES  NOT  EXIST.
