Question 1180240: In a certain community, the average number of eggs a nine-year old child eats per month is uniformly distributed from 8 to 22 eggs, inclusive. Determine the probability that a randomly selected nine-year old child eats an average of;
more than 13 eggs
Answer for part 1
more than 13 eggs given that his or her amount is more than 10 eggs
Answer for part 2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The range is 14 eggs
So for more than 13 eggs, it would be (22-13)/4=9/14 the probability.
Given more than 10, the range is now 12, so probability more than 13 would be 9/12 or 3/4
sd is (b-a)/sqrt(12)
=14/sqrt (12)=4.04 eggs
