Solve the following problems.
1. A card is drawn at random from a deck of 52 playing cards. Find the probability
that the card drawn is:
a) an ace or a king;
b) a king or a diamond. Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! there are 4 aces and 4 kings, so the probability is 8/52 or 2/13.
there are 4 kings and 13 diamonds but the king of diamonds would be counted twice so there are 4+13-1 or 16 possibilities or 16/52 probability, which is 4/13.
