Question 1180220: Given: AB is parallel to DE
Prove: Triangle ABC is congruent to EDC
- The figure is forming a vertical angles in the middle, it is like an hourglass.
- C is in the middle
FIND:
1. Alternate interior angles are congruent (STATEMENT)
2. Vertical Angles Theorem (STATEMENT)
3. Triangle ABC is congruent to EDC (REASON)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

Make a sketch.

In the sketch,  find all mentioned angles.

Then use the statement  "C is in the middle".

It is  VERY  BAD way to formulate a  MATH  statement.

but I can interpret it as if the intersection point divides the corresponding segments in equal parts.

To make your final conclusion about congruency of triangles, use SAS-test of triangles congruency.
