You can put this solution on YOUR website! This is using a theorem in probability called the multiplication principle. If there are m ways to arrange Set A, and there are n ways to arrange Set B, then there are m*n total ways to arrange everything. So, first how many cats are there? 7*7*7. how many kittens are there? 7*7*7*7. So there are (7*7*7 + 7*7*7*7) cats and kittens. Multiply this times 4.
