There are 52 cards in a pack
here are 26 red cards so the probability of drawing a red card is 26/52
There are 12 face cards so the probability of drawing one is 12/52
6 face cards are red so the probability of drawing one is 6/52
To avoid double counting subtract

Probability of drawing a red card or a face card is 26/52 + 12/52 - 6/52 = 32/52 = 8/13
