You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It fell 1458 feet and struck the ground the 1st time. 1458 feet
Then it rebounded 1458/3=486 feet. 486 feet
Then it fell 486 feet and struck the ground the 2nd time. 486 feet
Then it rebounded 486/3=162 feet 162 feet
Then it fell 162 feet and struck the ground the 3rd time. 162 feet
Then it rebounded 162/3=54 feet. 54 feet
Then it fell 54 feet and struck the ground the 4th time. 54 feet
Then it rebounded 54/3=18 feet. 18 feet
Then it fell 18 feet and struck the ground the 5th time. 18 feet
-------------------------------------------------------------------
total distance traveled = 2898 feet
