Question 1178420: if you have an ellipse whose semi-major axis is 6 cm and semi minor axis is 3 cm. what the volume in cubic meters is generated if it is revolved about the minor axis? Answer by ikleyn(52886) (Show Source):
The Volume of an 3D Ellipsoid formula is V = 4/3⋅π⋅a⋅b⋅c,
where "a", "b" and "c" are its semi-axis.
In your case, a = b = 6 cm, c = 3 cm.
Use the formula.
