You can put this solution on YOUR website!

The sum of Jocelyn and Joseph's age is 40.
let joseph's age be x
and jocelyn's age be y
x+y=40----------------(1)
In 5 years, Joseph will be twice as Jocelyn's present age.
x+5 = 2(y+10)
x+5 = 2y
x-2y=-5-----------------(2)
Solve 1 & 2
3y=45
y=15
Jocelyn is 15 years
Joseph is 25 years

How old are they now?
