in order to be able to answer this question, i would need to know the following:

are you dealing in radians or in degrees?

2.
if you are dealing in radians, then is the period expressed as 2.5 radians or 2.5 * pi radians.

i'll assume you are dealing in degrees, unless you tell me otherwise.

equation is y = 5 * cos(360/2.5 * x)

5 is the amplitude.
360/2.5 is the frequency.
