| Question 117715: On my homework assignment, it says:

 "Write the point slope form of equations fro the given information:
  ". So, I know that I need to find the point slope. I don't really know what to do. I really need help. I do know that the point slope formula is
  . That is the formula my math teacher gave me, but I don't know how it goes in with the problem. Found 2 solutions by psbhowmick, checkley71:

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Y=mX+b IS THE LINE EQUATION. -5=3/4*4+b
 -5=3+b
 b=-5-3
 b=-8 THEREFORE THE LINE EQUATION THROUGH (4,-5), WITH A SLOPE OF 3/4 & A Y INTERCEPT (0,-8)
 Y=3X/4-8

  (graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 12, y from -10 to 10, y = 3x/4 -8).
