You can put this solution on YOUR website!
%285x%2F%28x-1%29%29-5%2F%28x-1%29

Since the denominators are equal, you can combine the numerators directly.

%285x-5%29%2F%28x-1%29

Then factor 5 out of the numerator

5%2Across%28%28x-1%29%29%2Fcross%28%28x-1%29%29=5

The second problem is the same. You have two equal denominators, so combine the two numerators and factor. Then simplify by eliminating common factors from the numerator and denominator. Hint: After you factor a 2 out of the numerator, you will have the difference of two squares.
