.

Left sides are identical --- hence, right sides are equal

    7x - 33 = -2(x-15)

    7x - 33 = -2x + 30

    7x + 2x = 30 + 33

      9x    = 63

       x    = 63/9 = 7

Then  y = 7x - 33 = 7*7 - 33 = 49 - 33 = 16.

ANSWER.  x= 7;  y= 16.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

y=7x+-+33 ........eq.1
y=+-2+%28x-+15%29 .........eq.2
------------------------------------
if left sides equal, equal the right sides and solve for x
7x+-+33=-2+%28x-+15%29
7x+-+33=-2x%2B30
7x+%2B2x=33%2B30
9x=63
x=63%2F9
highlight%28x=7%29
go to
y=7x+-+33 ........eq.1, substitute x
y=7%2A7+-+33
y=49+-+33
highlight%28y=16%29
