Question 1175678: Find the area of the region bounded by the x-axis by
line x=2
line x=6
line y=x+3
and line y=10−x.
I tried graphing the lines but I can't find the area.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! .
If you make a sketch, you will find that the figure is the union of two trapezoids, oriented VERTICALLY.
They are separated by vertical line x= 3.5.
So, the area of the figure is the sum of areas of two trapezoids.
If you know the formula for the area of a trapezoid, then you should be able to complete the rest ON YOUR OWN.

You may report me about two things:
1) If everything is clear to you from my post,
and
2) If you were able to complete this assignment on your own.
I will look forward hoping to hear from you.
If you will respond, then PLEASE refer to the ID number of this problem, which is 1175678.
