You can put this solution on YOUR website! The sum of two numbers is 40 and their difference is 16. Find the numbers.
Use elimination here, very easy!
a + b = 40
a - b = 16
----------------addition eliminates b find a
2a + 0 = 56
a = 56/2
a = 28
Find b
28 + b = 40
b = 40 - 28
b = 12
