Hi
Let x represent how many workers are there in all
 x =  .80x + 600
     .20x = 600
        x = 600/.20 = 3000
2400 + 600 = 3000 checks.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let x be "how many workers are there in all".
Then 0.2x  is  660
     0.2x = 660.
Hence,  x = 660%2F0.2 = 6600%2F2 = 3300.
ANSWER.  In all, there are 3300 workers at the company.
