You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x%5E3-9x%5E2-9x=0 ....factor out x
%284x%5E2-9x-9%29x=0+.......write -9x as -12x%2B3x
%284x%5E2-12x%2B3x-9%29x=0.......group terms
%28%284x%5E2-12x%29%2B%283x-9%29%29x=0
%284x%28x-3%29%2B3%28x-3%29%29x=0
%284+x+%2B+3%29+%28x+-+3%29x=0
roots are:
x=0
x=3
x=-3%2F4

4x%5E3-9x%5E2-9x=0

First factor out the common factor x.

x%284x%5E2-9x-9%29+=+0

The quadratic will factor; but it might be hard to see. If you can't see it, you can always use the quadratic formula.

x%284x%2B3%29%28x-3%29+=+0

I'm not sure what "factor or solve..." means. I will assume that if you are supposed to do more with the problem you know how to do it.
