You can put this solution on YOUR website! No, you are wrong!
f(x) = 5x - 1
To find f(a-2) you have to replace 'x' with 'a-2' everywhere as follows
f(a - 2) = 5(a - 2) - 1
f(a - 2) = 5a - 10 - 1
f(a - 2) = 5a - 11
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Since the outer f is denoting a function, you cannot distribute f to a-2. Remember, f is not a variable in this case.
