Just the very first question (a) is formulated INCORRECTLY.
The correct formulation should be THIS
"Find the probability that the new customer will purchase a car of different color."
In a way, how question (a) is posed in your post, it CAN NOT be answered.
Be accurate with YOUR LANGUAGE when you create YOUR problem.
And PLEASE do not explain to me about your teacher . . . and so on bla-bla-bla . . .
From the text, it is ABSOLUTELY CLEAR -- W-H-O-- created the problem.
Have a nice day (!)
