No doubt you have shown the problem exactly as it was given to you....
But it is impossible to know the intended answer, because the meaning is unclear when the problem says one machine "DOES THE JOB 3 TIMES FASTER THAN" another machine.
Sorry....
To be a good math question, the question must be written with language that makes it absolutely clear what the question is.
It's not your fault that many people who write math problems use imprecise language.
