You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The equation f%28x%29=y=sqrt%28x%29 has this graph:

graph%28200%2C3200%2F43%2C-2.9%2C10%2C-.9%2C3.9%2Csqrt%28x%29%29

To shrink it horizontally by 1/3, we multiply the right side by the reciprocal of
1/3, which is 3. So the equation is y=3sqrt%28x%29 which has this graph:

graph%282400%2F17%2C3200%2F43%2C-2.9%2C3.9%2C-.9%2C3.9%2C3sqrt%28x%29%29

To translate it horizontally by 2 units left, we replace x in the right side by
(x+2). So the equation is y=3sqrt%28x%2B2%29 which has this graph:

graph%282400%2F17%2C3200%2F43%2C-2.9%2C3.9%2C-.9%2C3.9%2C3sqrt%28x%2B2%29%29

Answer: y=3sqrt%28x%2B2%29
