: well, its not really from the book but i just hope that someone could help me anyway. it is off a study guid for school for a semester test. There is a Trapezoid and the measure of angle A= 90 degrees.the measure of angle C= 50 degrees. the measure of angle D= 90, and find the measure of angle B? that is the best way that i can explain it because there is a picture that goes with it and i cant get it on the computer. You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=angle measure of angle B

A trapezoid has 4 sides. So this means that the sum of all 4 angles is 360 degrees. So this means

A%2BB%2BC%2BD=360

Now plug in the given values

90%2Bx%2B50%2B90=360

x%2B230=360 Combine like terms on the left side

x=360-230Subtract 230 from both sides

x=130 Combine like terms on the right side

--------------------------------------------------------------
Answer:
So our answer is x=130

So the measure of angle B is 130 degrees
