You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

Let x be Mark's walking rate, in km/h

Then his riding rate is (x+5) km/h.

The "time" equation is

    16%2F%28x%2B5%29 = 7%2Fx.

Cross multiply

    16x = 7*(x+5)

    16x = 7x + 35

    16x - 7x = 35

       9x    = 35

        x    = 35%2F9 km/h = 3.889 km/h.    ANSWER

Solved.
