0r the number of females is .75 the number of males
Letting x be the number of male participants
7000 = x + .75x
7000/1.75 = x
male participants = 4000 and female = 3000 .25x
Find the difference between the number of male participants and the number of female participants:
4000 - 3000 = 1000 difference
