Get a common denominator--->3(x-3)

Rewrite the equation
x(3)/3(x-3) - 2(x-3)/3(x-3)= 3x/3(x-3) - (2x -6)/3(x-3)
Subtract the numerators
(3x-2x+6)/3(x-3)= x+6/3(x-3)

Get a common denominater --->(p+1)(p+5)
Rewrite the equation
