Question 1173123: Jaxson bought snacks for his team's practice. He bought a bag of oranges for $2.91 and a 24-pack of juice bottles. The total cost before tax was $39.39. Write and solve an equation which can be used to determine x, how much each bottle of juice costs?
I don't know if they are asking for the price with or without tax.
On similar problems, but in context of this problem, I would follow the formula of Total Cost - The Oranges = x, but I guess it doesn't work.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
($39.39-$2.91)/24=x, the cost of the juice bottle. The tax rate is not mentioned, so you can ignore it.
=$36.48/24
=$1.52 per bottle

It is total cost-oranges=24x, since there are 24 bottles.
