.

The mid-line is y= -2, and the function oscillates around this value with the amplitude of 5 units, so

    f%5Bmax%5D = -2 + 5 = 3; f%5Bmin%5D = -2 - 5 = -7. ANSWER

The minimum and maximum values of sin%28A%29, where A is ANY expression, are -1 and +1.

The minimum and maximum values of B%2Asin%28A%29, where A is ANY expression and B is a constant, are -B and +B.

The minimum and maximum values of B%2Asin%28A%29%2BC, where A is ANY expression and B and C are constants, are -B+C and +B+C.

In your example, B=5 and C=-2; the minimum and maximum values are -5-2=-7 and 5-2=3.
