Kwaku's age = 6 times Ama's age.
K = 6A
In 12 years Kwaku = 2 times Ama's age.
K + 12 = 2(A + 12)
Multiplying out
K + 12 = 2A + 24
Substitute 6A for K
6A + 12 = 2A + 24
Collect like terms
6A - 2A = 24 - 12
4A = 12
Divide both sides by 4
A = 3
Ama is 3 years of age
Kwaku is 6 times 3 = 18 years of age.
