:
let a = no. of adult tickets
let c = no. children's
:
600a + 200c = 75000
simplify, divide to 200
3a + c = 375
and
a + c = 175
use elimination with these two equations
3a + c = 375
a + c = 175
---------------subtraction eliminates c, find a
2a + 0 = 200
a = 200/2
a = 100 adults
and
175 - 100 = 75 kids
