Hi  

1)A rectangular field has a length of X + 5 and width of X-8 meters

P = 2(x+5) + 2(x-8) = 2x + 10 + 2x - 16 = 4x-6

P = (4x-6)m

A = (x+5)(x-8) 

A = (x^2 - 3x - 40)m^2



2) = (-72ab-36ab+18ab)/(-12ab) = (-96ab)/(-12ab)  = 8
