for 4 children the distribution for number of girls is
1--4---6---4---1
or 4C2(1/2)^2*(1/2)^2=6/16 or 3/8.
There is a 0.375 probability a randomly selected family has 2 girls.
------------
The wording isn't clear. The expected number of families with two girls is 24, 64*3/8.

Wording is not only unclear - - - it is incorrect.
