Question 1172099: Find all excluded values for the expression.
That is, find all values of y for which the expression is undefined

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

Excluded values are those and only those that make the denominator equal to zero.

So, in order for to find excluded values, you need to solve this quadratic equation

    y^2 + 5y - 36 = 0.

To solve it, simply factor left side

    (y+9)*(y-4) = 0.

ANSWER. Excluded values are -9 and 4.
