x/x-2 - x+1/x = 8/x squared-2x

x/6 - x/8 =1
4x -3x = 24
x = 24
----------------
x/x-2 - x+1/x = 8/x squared-2x
x/(x-2) - (x+1)/x = 8/(x^2-2x)
Multiply thru by x^2-2x to get:
x^2 - (x+1)(x-2) = 8
x^2 - [x^2-x-2] = 8
x+2 = 8
x = 6
