Question 1171308: This is a unusual question but I came here because I don’t have anyone else to ask since I’m self studying math. I’m trying to learn calculus and most of it is very easy for me but the book is asking me to “Prove” something or “Show a Proof” and I don’t know what that is or how to do it. I’ve never seen a proof before and don’t know what it means to prove something. I mastered precalculus and found it very easy.
Question: Do I need a different book or am I just not smart enough to learn it.
My current book is University Calculus Early Transcendentals by Hass, Weir, Thomas
I would appreciate any guidance because I really love math but I am going to have to give it up because I’m lost with the “Prove” part.
