You can put this solution on YOUR website!
c = number of cats
d = number of dogs
"The total number of cats and dogs at the shelter is 125" means c+d = 125
"There are 5 more cats than dogs" means c = d+5
Whatever d is, we add on 5 to get c
Apply substitution to solve
c+d = 125
(c)+d = 125
(d+5)+d = 125 ... c replaced with d+5
d+5+d = 125
d+d+5 = 125
2d+5 = 125
2d+5-5 = 125-5
2d = 120
2d/2 = 120/2
d = 60
Use this value to find c
c = d+5
c = 60+5
c = 65
Answer: 60 dogs and 65 cats

Had this problem arrived with the question, I would show you two nice short solutions,
presented in the form "as it SHOULD be".
But since you demonstrate an EXTREMAL form of impoliteness, posting the request with no question,
I will not work for you.

A question specially for tutors @greenestamps and @Math_tutor2020
Why you, people with university education, encourage/allow boorish behavior of the visitors,
who submit their requests omitting questions ?
They should be taught to the rules of civilized communication BEFORE and EVEN MORE than Math.
