3%28n%2B5%29%28n-5%29=0 Factor the left side


Now set each factor equal to zero:
n%2B5=0 or n-5=0

n=-5 or n=5 Now solve for n in each case


So our answer is
n=-5 or n=5


Notice if we graph y=3n%5E2-75 we can see that the roots are n=-5 and n=5 . So this visually verifies our answer.
