The sum of the ages of two sisters, Mary and Jane, is 24 years. Four years ago three times Mary's age was 3 years more than twice Jane's age. Determine their current ages.

Then Jane's is: 24 - M
Four years ago, Mary was M - 4, and Jane's was: 24 - M - 4, or 20 - M
We then get: 3(M - 4) = 2(20 - M) + 3

5M = 55
Mary or
Now, find Jane's age!
