Question 1168841: A baseball player has a batting average of 0.27. What is the probability that he has exactly 6 hits in his next 7 at bats? Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
Impossible. Every time the player has an at-bat, his batting average changes. it either goes up if he gets a hit or down if he doesn't. But from the information given, there is no way to tell by how much either way. You cannot use the binomial distribution because the 7 events are not independent and the probability of success on any given trial is not a constant.
