You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Cost of one chocolate cookie = x
Cost of one butter cookie = 0.5x

25x + 6 = 20x + 20(0.5x)

25x + 6 = 20x + 10x

25x + 6 = 30x

5x = 6

x = $1.20

Since Bob originally had enough money to buy 25 chocolate cookies...and we know one chocolate cookie costs x dollars ($1.20)...that means 25 chocolate cookies cost $30. So, Bob originally had $30.
