Hey, what is your question about ? -- Traveling downstream or upstream ?

Answer by josgarithmetic(39621) About Me  (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
With or against the current?
Second part, with or against the current?

If you meant, "upstream" for both parts of the description, then you need to say it IN YOUR QUESTION POSTING.

The speed for the boat going upstream is then, while with the current, r%2B%283%2F7%29r.

-----------------------------------------------
A boat can cover 42km in 63 minutes.
-----------------------------------------------

You did not say that is in still-water, so it must be given as for the upstream speed.
In kilometers per minute you have highlight_green%28r%281%2B3%2F7%29=42%2F63%29.
Simplify however you like to.

From that, you should be able to answer the question part of your posting.
