The correct inequality is  THIS

    4x - 6 >= 2x + 8

Notice the sign   " >= ".

The solution is

    4x - 2x >= 8 + 6

    2x      >= 14

     x      >= 14/2 = 7.


ANSWER.   x >= 7.
